Service quiz. The quiz on our homepage runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or stored, and the quiz does not ask for your contact details.

Client information. If you become a client, we hold the contact, billing and project details needed to deliver our services and keep business records.

Technical data. Our web server automatically records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the date and time of your visit) to keep the website secure and running.

We do not use analytics or advertising tracking, and we do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health information) through this website.

We will not send you marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

04Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the business:

  • our website hosting provider, Amazon Web Services
  • our email provider, Zoho Mail
  • accounting or invoicing software, if you become a client

These providers act on our instructions and must keep your data secure. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

05International transfers

Some of our service providers may store data outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

06How long we keep your information

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months after our last contact
  • Client and financial records: 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, to meet HMRC and legal requirements
  • Server logs: usually no more than 90 days

After these periods, we securely delete or anonymise the data.

07Cookies and browser storage

Our website uses only strictly necessary cookies, which WordPress needs to work properly (for example, to keep logged-in administrators signed in). These cookies do not track you, and the law does not require your consent for them.

When you use certain features, such as calm mode (less motion), we save that choice in your browser’s own storage so the site remembers it. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

08Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data deleted in certain circumstances
  • restrict or object to how we use your data
  • receive your data in a portable format
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@artmenstudio.uk. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before you do.

09Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to admin systems, and secure, reputable service providers.
